Why Not KINETIC ENERGY RECOVERY ROPES are equally durable?!

Miolle Kinetic Recovery Ropes are manufactured from 100% Nylon 66 fiber. Our ropes are constructed with the same Nylon 66 braid cover and coated with a military grade, polymer which is completely waterproof, UV & abrasive resistant. Meanwhile most of the marketed ropes are made from Nylon 6.

What are these materials Nylon 66 or nylon 6, which one should you go with?

Nylon 66 (nylon 6-6, nylon 6/6 or nylon 6,6) is a type of nylon. Both Nylon 66 and Nylon 6 are most used materials for textile and plastic industries. Nylon 66 is made of two monomers each containing 6 carbon atoms, hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid, which give nylon 66 its name.

Nylon 66 is frequently used when high mechanical strength, rigidity, good stability under heat and/or chemical resistance are required

Nylon66 is a little harder than nylon 6, with higher density and weight than nylon 6. With larger elongation and higher abrasion resistance, nylon 66 is an awesome material for the Recovery Ropes. Of course, this difference is hard to be discerned by hand. The price of nylon66 is much higher than nylon 6.

As you can see from characteristics described above Nylon 66 is durable material that has longer lifespan compared to Nylon 6. And that’s exactly why here at Miole, all our ropes are made of Nylon 66 which has 30% elongation and the perfect anti-resistance feature.

Why not choose the best one and use for it longer time? 

Very often to reduce the production cost other marketed brands use color fiber without polymer coating, which reduces breaking strength, and has no waterproof, abrasive resistant, UV & Chemical resistance.

Remember that Original Nylon 66 is white, all colored fibers in core are Nylon 6 or even cheaper fiber.

Many other ropes on the market offer a nylon sheath which can be effective, however, at Miolle we have worked on a soft and durable vinyl polymer coating on the eyes for the ideal amount of protection where it is needed the most.
